As an exercise the Fablemans is beyond interesting. Rarely does a director get the opportunity to self reflect, rarely do they get to tell their own story. Amazing film punctuated with a perfect performance.

An enjoyable film about sex, drugs and greed that, much like the characters, left me feeling empty. It's impossible not to correlate the excess of Jordan Belfort and the excess of the filmmaking here. It's engaging, and funny but in the end of the day the characters and the viewers don't really know what they were supposed to learn from the whole mess.
