Despite being live-action, it was interesting how much this reminded me of Duke Johnson's previous directorial effort, Anomalisa: the setting having a stage play atmosphere gave a similar artificial feel as stop-motion, the kinda hazy look, Joe Cole reminding me of David Thewlis (star of Anomalisa) in the courtroom scene in the trailer, and most of the actors playing several roles reminded me of how Tom Noonan voiced every character except the two leads in Anomalisa.
