  Werewolves Within 2021

  Sam Richardson innocent but there’s nothing here. Instead of being grounded in parody + the love / appreciation of said parodied genre like, say, Hot Fuzz (which I feel like this movie has on its mind), this film mostly feels spun out of an improv game. We need a word from the audience! Did I hear “werewolf?” Cute, trite, entirely inoffensive, I’m watching politely. All this to say: it’s not very funny.

  I Am Always Mad At My One Friend + When One Is Big And The Other Is Small excellence. Reminded me of Altman, May, The Last Detail, The Last Picture Show, westerns. Pacino so cute here. Reminds me a lot of Gould (other way around?) Beautifully shot. The world and the sky feel big, boundless, and barren. [guy who has only read one book voice] didn't not remind me…
