I was blown away by this film. In my opinion, Rashomon encapsulates the ability of film to create art that is moving, thought provoking, and of course beautiful. The visuals and cinematography is beautiful. It truly does captivate throughout the movie. With that though, it felt like this first part is doing all of the world building and setup for movies to come. It was extremely slow at times.
