    Before you give this a skip because it’s produced by J-team, no. Geylang does not have any Jack Neo sensibilities and things you’d expect from a Jack Neo movie.

    I got the chance to watch ‘Geylang’ at SGIFF, nominated at the Golden Horse awards for Best Action choreography. The film will also be publicly distributed in local commercial cinemas on 6 April 2023.

    I laughed, laughed harder, laughed so hard I teared, then I was overwhelmed by sadness, still laughing all while crying; I attained enlightenment accepting that it is only normal to respond to viewing the film like this because I’m human.

    Please do yourself a favour and watch this film guys. Even better if you could do it with your mother/father/immediate family members you care about. Honestly… It has been so long since I’ve watched…
