  I thought it was really entertaining. I agree with some of the other reviews stating that the whole family drama feels disjointed from the rest of the plot, and now that I think of it, I feel like a big part of the movie would actually still work without a lot of the family issues. Maybe I didn’t watch it hard enough, maybe I’m wrong. Idk. 

  
  I thought it was funny, it made me chuckle and had an interesting point of view. I think it’s worth the watch.

  To start off, it’s certainly not my favorite of PTA’s films. Is it a bad movie? No, but is it a movie that I will think of rewatching? Probably not. I wonder what viewers back in 1996 thought of this film, and if they had any idea of the magnitude of the filmmaker behind the lens and story. Of course it’s easy for me to compare “Hard Eight” to the rest of PTA’s films in 2024, but I don’t think…
