Beautiful, captivating animation with very whimsical sequences and a rich and exciting soundtrack. The aesthetics of this film absolutely grip you and throw you around in such a way you can't look away and emulates well the confusing quality of dreams. I will say I didn't care for how the fat character was treated, and how the film clings to the sexualisation of women in an uncritical fashion. Otherwise, a very gorgeous film.

A genuine masterpiece. Beautifully animated with such love in this telling of the Exodus. The Burning Bush sequence was so ethereal and captivating.
Points off for the absolute character butchery done to Aaron, though. Sidelined and flattened so badly for such an important figure - from High Priest of the Jews to being written into a cowardly and rude side character.

Visceral, gritty, ferocious, passionate. I am not a huge fan of action films but Dev Patel's work here had me captivated for every second between the stunning cinematography and the engaging fight choreography. He managed to make a revenge plot that didn't come across as campy or cheesy - and though not free of tropes, didn't rely on them in a way that was distracting or silly. Wonderful film, no doubt will be massively influential on the action genre for years to come.
