Really strong, well written throwback film that doesn’t pull any punches. One recipe for instant film success is to have adults interacting with teens or kids like adults. It’s somewhat refreshing and in the right hands, makes for a believable connection that your typical Hollywood fare. And that’s where this film shines, in the dialogue between Giamatti and Sessa.
