A Quiet Place: Day One 2024
Despite having the lowest rating out of the 3 here on Letterboxd, I think this may actually be my favorite. Once again the cinematography is a step up, and is just so absolutely pleasing to the eye. The story feels a little more fleshed than the others because I think the quiet scenes tell us a little more than before but on top of that, I think it has more dialogue than either the first too. Into the Wild 2007
Easily on the lower end of movies shown during a high school English class, maybe even the very last. It’s kind of weird to hate on this movie because it’s based on a true story, and a tragic one at that but it’s just shot too abrupt, too harsh, I don’t really like it. Some shots are very pretty don’t get me wrong but…idk.

A Quiet Place 2018
I know it’s just a movie, it’s all for the plot, but some of the decisions in this movie are too nonsensical. But Krasinski did great at least.

Hugo 2011
George Méliès is a creative that even now, 100+ years, hasn’t been matched. His imaginative and innovative mind that he possessed was one of a kind. His films were truly beautiful, and this movie recognizing him, his work, and all of cinema as a whole makes me feel like all the work that has ever been put into movies is celebrated and in fact rewarded.
The story was weaker than I remembered but I also watched it when I was like in 4th grade. Because of that it is brought down but it’s still an absolute celebration. Nice watch.
