  I really liked this movie. It’s a simple but very human story about the struggles of 3 people. The little boy has his issues as does the mother and old man next door. Very real issues are touched on.

  There are a lot of people giving bad reviews to this movie because the setting is in the south during a time of human injustice. The story is not about human worth. It is a series of stories told by a wonderful actor James Baskett. When I watched this movie as a child I didn’t think poorly of him, I thought of him as family. Telling wonderful stories which made me laugh.

  Considering all the War Movies, Serial Killer Movies, Gangster Movies, which have endless killing I find it disturbing that most of you Love those movies and can find nothing wrong with them.
