Kalifornia 1993
Brad Pitt and Juliette Lewis play some really convincing white trash in this crime thriller, and honestly their characters make it for me. Just so well acted, and unapologetically dirty. Super enjoyed seeing these characters. Story is decent, I think a lot could be cut though, like all the times we get Brads character shown doing something bad- we get it, he is dangerous.
I think the character played by Michelle Forbes is a very realistic one. She reacts to everything accordingly and might seem annoying but she is just pointing out the obvious danger.Translated from by -

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga 2024
Fury road was something completely different, this was another entry into the series akin to the first, expanding the lore and developing characters (with some good mad max action thrown in)
Immediately you could tell this was not a rehash of “Fury road”, opting for a more story based film. We learn of Furiosa’s journey to Fury road, and it is very entertaining, feeling oddly grounded even with all the over the top action.

Trigger Warning 2024
Netflix finally made the perfect background noise film after all these years of trying. A boring, cliche and forgettable film- very impressive for a film where Jessica Alba commits a war crime.
Netflix needs to start making good action/adventure films with female leads, maybe take a leaf out of Furiosa’s book.
