    Frenetic & Visceral.

    With a raw entry of sweat, muscle, flesh and a dolly in toward a man’s crotch, the opening scene of love lies bleeding promised a physicality that it semi-delivered throughout the film. 

    I felt I needed a shower after the grittiness of some scenes, even if they didn’t all feel quite purposeful to a focused core narrative. I did however love the uninhibited anger of Jackie’s character - especially when directed toward men.
