Past Lives 2023
Beautifully realistic. Because I never watch romance movies I came into this expecting a grand, larger-than-life love story. Past lives was not that. It made me think about the what-ifs in my life. Not in a romantic way but in a pensive way. I’ve made numerous decisions in the last couple of years that have shifted the course of my life. We all have. What if I hadn’t? This movie is less of a typical romance film and more of an ode to the question “what if?” that manifests itself so differently in each of our lives.
