    Simpson-level predictions if this had released when it was originally supposed to.

    Can see why its been received mixed but I do really appreciate how committed Bong Joon-ho is to it's tone, rather upfront commentary and looney-tunes in space genre-bending its got a rough charm.

    Left pretty awe-inspired in its craft. Soundtrack might be my favourite in years, along with the sequence leading into the intermission.

    Thoroughly earns its run-time with its themes, Laszlo's monuments serve as an expression of his trauma, but endures as a testament to his dignity and pride, untouched by a system that persistently exploits and oppresses his identity.

    Second half was a bitt messy, with a plot thread that kind of took away the momentum of what is built prior to reinforce a message which I think was clear and more nuanced before the intermission.
