  what a slap in the face 

  the presence of him did not change anything on the ground. he was there as an observer, trying to bring the word out to people. „they will see this and empathize with it. the US gonna see this and make some pressure“

  a few days ago they won an Oscar for all this, still nothing has changed on the ground.

  the audience sat there in silence when the lights went on because nothing’s gonna change on the ground.

  somehow still klischees über muslime bedient aber trotzdem very important and nice to see in german television 

  Hab mich gefragt, ob nicht-betroffene sich das ansehen und es genauso fühlen wie wir es fühlen. ist da ein großes Fragezeichen, wenn die hijabi plötzlich so zögert und handelt wie sie handelt? die kunst von film ist es die innere welt der Charaktere rüberzubringen in diesen Situationen, aber wurde genug über deren background erzählt? Ich wüsste das gern. wir verstehen ja auch was…

  you hear the children say they’re suicidal, they hate talking about their trauma, they scared to go into the ruins of their homes, they don’t wanna go out to the sea it’s retraumatizing and the film crew is still making them do all that. tell’s you a lot about the intention of this production. 

  i hope these children will find peace one day
