Absolutely, I will give a 1.5 star to something and still say I liked it because I know sometimes I love trash.

While it was preachy at times, ultimately this was a very moving portrayal of family dynamics in the modern world. The kid who plays the main character is phenomenal!

I put this on expecting not to pay attention to it at all. I was captivated, and immediately went to watch the first episode in its entirety once it was done.

It struck me while watching Garret (Lamorne) Morris sing about killing all the whiteys that this first episode aired only 11 years after the signing of the Civil Rights act, and 110 years after the Civil War.

Before this, I really only had a passing interest in SNL, but now I'll probably watch it all.

There is no good reason why this movie isn't more popular. The rest of you have bad taste.

One of the best movies I've ever seen, cinema perfection. This is a re-telling of the Odyssey, set in the deep American south, at the height of the depression. It hits all the high and low notes of the time period, and grasps them like a jumping toad 😉 George Clooney leads a phenomenal cast, with appearances by other big names in unexpectd momebts. Unbelievably well written and acted, with a soundtrack to match - you will hum, sing, and quote this sweet sun-baked tea of a movie for the rest of your life.
