Unknown 2011
Surprisingly solid. Goofy script, but I went into this pretty blind and was actually surprised by the direction it takes. A well made take on a hitchcockian thriller. Neeson definitely overacts for a good portion of this movie and not all the performances in here are great. Nothing special, but solid and plays towards my interests. Spies in Eastern Europe with a cool dull color grading.

I need to watch The Greatest Showman ASAP. This is a heartfelt and honest musical biopic, a genre I’m not typically a fan of. Teared up on a couple occasions watching this. The musical sequences are truly fantastic. Had no idea who Robbie Williams is and it didn’t really matter. It might be better to go into this without knowing him honestly. The musical biopics of today feel sold more on the name attached than the quality of the film.…

The Killer 2023
I finally “get” The Killer. Not that there’s necessarily much to get but I definitely let a lot go over my head on earlier viewings. This is a story of a man being humbled and learning his place in our economy and society. Learning that the working man is less than nothing to a billionaire in a skyscraper penthouse.
The score is also great.
