  This is currently the No. 1 film on Letterboxd.

  Despite my sky-high expectations, I was still impressed. Stellar camera work and score, plus a commanding lead performance by Tatsuya Nakadai.

  The ending is also tragic yet fitting and perfectly captures the core themes of the film. Definitely deserves all the hype.
