So often do people take advantage of others older than them, whether it’s for their experience, wisdom, or kindness. Sadly I think the younger you are, we tend to view them as cautionary tales, or a lesson, or as role models, whether than people with their own goals and ambitions.

An entertaining satire of class and power imbalance, but a bit long. I think the first two parts are very strong but the third loses me a little and it drags a bit, although the ending itself fits well with the theme. I wish the movie was more consistently funny like the second part, but it was still a fun time overall.
The Batman is less about the character of Batman and more of the idea of him. What do people of Gotham think of him? What does the city need him to be? Is he the embodiment of vengeance? Or is he something more? It is almost akin to a coming-of-age movie, where he learns to be what he needs and wants to be.

Positives:
-Unique plot from a typical home invasion premise
-An unexpected and interesting twist at the midpoint of the film
-Great acting and chemistry between the family
-Better than average cinematography especially for a horror
-Brilliant title
Negatives:
-The most obvious twist in cinema since… actually I think this takes the cake. My sister and I both knew what would happen from the first scene.
-Leans too heavy on the metaphor of class than the actual story happening, which thinking about any part for more than two minutes deconstructs it.
