Memories of Murder 2003
A high-class detective / thriller that can be rewatched an infinite amount of times and each time you are surprised by the overall atmosphere and especially the ending. It's even scarier to realize that the killer himself watched the film and this ending was made specifically for him.

Jacob's Ladder 1990
descent into madness through the prism of PTSD, the death of your own son, and an analogue of Purgatory, which suspense does not let you go to the end, even despite the general deterministic motive of the film.
P.S. wanted to watch this as a kind of preparation for Silent Hill franchise, and in the end I got a lot more than that.

Chungking Express 1994
This film and "Fallen Angels" are still the greatest films I've ever experienced, nothing can beat it, it's simply impossible to beat perfection. Everything here is so masterfully crafted and no other film can do that for me.
P.S. Been a fan of this film for almost 3 years, but just recently learned about Faye Wong's discography and so eager to fully listen to it, heard a couple of songs from different albums and all of them are so good. Faye Wong as a person is such a phenomenon, she could probably be a contender for the most interesting person that ever lived.
