The Perks of Being a Wallflower 2012
Amazing movie. This movie reminded me of my life of how it was for me in the beginning of moving out from my hometown and starting a new chapter in my life in Los Angeles. The beginning is always rough and lonely but with time and your actions of bettering your life, it does get better and you will find the type of people that you have always wanted in your life. Being with these people brings a sense of belonging and only makes what you went through to meet these people you love being around so much, worth it.

Amazing and creative cinematography with an aesthetic that fit the setting of Billy’s troubled childhood upbringing which made him be what he knows he’s not. All Billy was hoping for is love.

Mysterious Skin 2004
Disturbing story but a well made film with a great soundtrack mostly revolving around shoegaze like slowdive which is something you rarely hear now in todays movies so that was nice to hear that type of music in a movie. Along with the music, the remarkable outfits of the characters that fit the shoegaze aesthetic including Joseph Gordon Levitt which I thought was his coolest appearance in any movie he has done. This movie also goes to show to appreciate what you have in life right now because there’s a lot of people in this world that are in a much worse position than you.
