Pretty in Pink 1986
If I had a nickel for every time James Spader played a sexy sexual playboy character I'd have two nickels, (probably more, since I haven't seen the rest of the movies he has been in) which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice. I got pleasantly surprised seeing him again since "Sex, lies and videotape". I almost couldn't get through the first part because of Duckie, and it's hard to believe he was intended to be heterosexual. I really liked Iona, the dad, Blane and Steff. All in all, the movie got its message across and I guess that's all that matters.

Fun plotline, the nuns were very cute. It did have some weird undertones at certain points I'd say which made the ending a bit confusing. Mother Maria and Smiths relationship was also interesting.
