"Maybe more people would understand me in Hell."
God, I had no business finishing this at 1am because guess which clown is crying. Seriously, I think this movie did a good job at capturing unrequited love. Constantly tip-toeing between in love and being in denial. The beach scene genuinely made me sob because it made me realise they truly found solace in their company, but away from the eyes of others. I especially liked the portrayal of religious trauma in this movie as it is such a difficult thing to grapple with. They eventually found each other, but will wonder what could've truly happened between them.
