A movie made by people raised during the animation renaissance of the 90s using characters from the 40s for today's audience. This is almost specifically for me lol. Honestly it felt so good to be watching a traditionally animated movie in the movie theater in 2025. It took me out a couple times, just realizing that!! 4 people in my modestly-attended showing left around 20 mins in, but everyone else was cool and we were having a hoot. Not everything works, but a lot does. Solidly funny, sincere, beautiful sequences. Respectably horny as any old Looney Tunes cartoon is; all the women are thicc as hell.

The beginning is good, and the ending is still transcendent, just beautiful, awe-inspiring stuff. But let's be honest. That hour in the middle is kind of a bore.
The ultimate "Why do we bash dead-beat dads/What if the child had a bad vibe" movie. Dude leaves him whole family to fuck off to space after kissing another woman lol just incredibly selfish stuff. Boomers got to 35 and went "Wait is this it?"
