Fincher invented the winning formula back in 2010: Find a great script, it can be about literally anything, since the subject matter isn’t what makes it interesting. Direct the hell out of said script. Finally, get Reznor and Ross to do the score. Voilà, you have a masterpiece.
I won’t say I’m unwelcome to the idea of future Miyazaki films, but man… can’t fathom how there could possibly be a better way to go out. Speechless.
