Holy shit they didn’t hold back with the blood and guts, there was heads blowing up and limbs flying constantly. That was cool and all but apart from that this was a pretty run of the mill action movie, every action movie trope you can think of is in this lol it’s fine, it’s pretty basic. Not a bad time. It was ok

Girlhood 2014
Kind of hard to believe this is the same filmmaker who went on to make Portrait Of A Lady On Fire, this isn’t a knock on this film but it is such a different kind of film, it’s insane. I mean I guess they’re both gay stories but that’s about it, I do love how her films make you read between the lines. It’s just proof of Sciammas talent as a filmmaker. I will say the third act does lose me a little bit but other than that this was brilliant.

It’s a masterpiece.
Every question it poses will remain timeless and thought provoking for generations to come as it did for me, I personally don’t think there has been a greater achievement in science fiction than this, it’s other worldly yet it asks such familiar questions and really makes you think about your position in the world, how you may treat people or animals, appreciation of what you have.
