Sometimes we watch something knowing it's going to be bad but, we just want something light and hopefully entertaining enough.... Also, there's some generally hated movies that I enjoy so we never know. This movie was worse than expected... Bad acting, horrendous dialogues... tacky and boring movie. Aaaand, it's not even sexy nor funny but it sure tries.
Of course we think of funny games, of course it can't compare but, it was enjoyable. I liked the atmosphere of the begining and the awkward dinner scene. The last part was too typical, I started to care less and, as too often, be annoyed by some of the characters' choices. Still a nice movie overall.
Oh my, what a movie! What an experience!
It's beautiful, funny even at times, it tears you apart. This is one of the best movie I've seen. The actors are great. The image and the music are perfect. It punches you in the gut. You come out of it bruised, knocked out and simply speechless. It's smart, innovative, beautiful, poetic, energetic, fresh, powerful and heartbreaking. Thank you Xavier Dolan.
I wasn't expecting much and what a wonderful surprise.
This movie is so much fun!! A nice homage to those monster movies and to the joy of watching movies, but not only. Nice view of the era too. The actors are great and "the movie within the movie" is awesome!
Just watch it, you will not regret it.
