Late 50's early 60's Disney live action TV and movies mainlined adolescent horniness into American homes in acceptable doses and forms. Anyone who was 12 or 13 years when they watched Spin and Marty on The Mickey Mouse Club knows what I'm talking about.

I want to live in the two sibling's apartment. In particular I covet the statue of the Madonna on the long mid-century modern table in their Art Moderne apartment. Any idea of the sculptor?

Occasionally one comes across a work of imagination that embodies a truth despite its absolute divorce from reality. Tituba' centrality to the story (incidentally, the rare role in which the actor was given name credit in a very long career), black slaves handling the dogs searching for the inquisition's next victims, and the perfection all the secondary roles testify to a reality that Colbert (despite my admiration) and especially McMurray are not part of.

I first saw this film on broadcast TV 1968 or 1969. I was astounded even with the commercial interruptions. The camera work is amazing, The plot is engrossing. Watching it 2025 you can't ignore its prescience> Heston's casting is questionable but honestly, he's not bad. Everyone else is great
