Come True 2020
First third of the movie had SO MUCH potential. The dream sequences really grabbed me. The beginning of the middle was okay. There’s a 100% WTF / WHY scene half way through, towards the end of the second act. It kind of made me start hating the rest of the movie. Yep, it ruined the last half. It could have been an okay ending “twist”..

It’s a great movie in that it conveyed the dread and pure evil it was addressing. I almost couldn’t finish it. For that I give it 4 1/2 stars instead of one.

Light of My Life 2019
Casey Affleck is clearly the better writer and director, compared to his brother, in this film. It was described to me as The Road meets Children of Men. It was more like The Road.Lite. It’s like the Perfect Circle to Tool. If The Road seems too heavy, I recommend this lighter version; even though the stakes are arguably higher.
