I had no idea this would be such an interesting watch, and I avoided it for the longest time—one of the few Kubrick films I hadn’t seen. I can’t help but compare it a bit to Dr. Strangelove because of how similar the humor feels. Kubrick does a fantastic job here balancing humor, irony, and appalling behavior.
