  30 days sober today. This was a treat to see in a packed theater for the first time. Watched at Birmingham 8 in Birmingham, MI. 

  Forgot that this thing makes me shiver like nothing I’ve ever seen before. I thought it was just the fucking guy, but this chills me to the bone. Almost physically ill this thing makes me. I fucking love it. 

  I can see a prize fighting kangaroo through the wall. He’s the one that’s doing it!!!

  Stress... just so much stress. Need to watch again and hit the casino before I can review fully, but I think it’s better than Good Time and Sandler is 10% away from being better than he was in Punch Drunk Love. Find a basketball game and put some money on the opening tip-off just to live, man.

  I’m never going to be the right person to talk to about this movie. 

  Worked on it for 5 months, made lifelong friends in the production office, and it’s a story I was interested in before I knew a soul working on it: Soderbergh, Detroit, the 50s, Black Bottom, crony capitalism, banal horror, petty crime? C’mon now.

  It’s starting to feel more and more like Soderbergh is the only one making moves to save the movies. Maybe suddenly one day…
