    Just a deluge of 80s pop rock and animated action with no plot, all to sell some toys. It looks incredible, but it feels like nothing and everything happened at once. The pacing is schizophrenic, which serves as nothing but a chance to showcase as many new bots as possible and some nice backgrounds. Voice work is also a standout. It’s fun, and that’s all it is. It’s better than any bayverse slop.

    I didn’t grow up with Indiana Jones, so when I first saw this one, I kind of hated it. Racial and gender tropes are steeped into this film perhaps so much more than any other Indiana Jones entry. Willie Scott is your typical damsel in distress character, but I can’t lie if this time around I was able to enjoy the cheap humour she brings to the film.
