  I was all for this from the moment I sat in my seat until about halfway through where it kind of loses itself in some serious pacing issues. Never have I tasted something so sweet and then abruptly sour in my life. At least it is made up with Eggers brilliantly executed visual horror. Do not let this man have a speck of colour in his films.

  How Miyazaki creates such a rich and magical world yet is so stone cold in real life is beyond me. I always appreciate how films made for children put in subliminal messages about real world issues and challenges that most younger viewers may not pay close attention to, but are blatantly obvious to older audiences. Hiding scummy capitalist ideologies, hate towards minority groups and western consumerism in a beautifully crafted space is an amazing way to present these problems to…
