Two thirds into this movie I was ready to declare it the anti-Deathwish. But, unwilling to go full ACAB, the end result is more like a John Oliver action thriller starring a friendly Christopher Dorner. The movie still rips though, and while it’s definitely not as good as Green Room, it packs a more emotional punch. Because in Green Room to escape the nazis the characters just have to escape the bar. In Rebel Ridge they have to escape the world.
