I didn’t hate it. The actors took their roles seriously and portrayed their characters well enough, however the dialog ranges from cheeseball to predictable. I have to say it was kind of cool seeing how newer technology is showcased and utilized when “wrangling” up these tornadoes. The special effects were pretty solid, along with the sound design, presenting what is possibly the most accurate representation of what a tornado sounds like I have ever heard on film.  Not worth a second viewing, but you’d be entertained throwing it on if you’re unsure of what to watch one evening.

A solid conclusion to Maxine’s story. Navigating the Hollywood world while dealing with the trauma of what happened back in Texas, she continues to push through, aiming for that number one spot in the world of stardom. The glitzy glam atmosphere of the 80’s is well represented here, highlighting the highs and lows of the era, with the ongoing coverage of the Nightstalker keeping everyone on their toes in the background. The editing is well done, with good cinematography. Solid soundtrack too.

Very much style over substance here. Finally got around to watching it after getting recommendations to check it out. Absolutely loved the tension being built through out and the homage to 70s and 80s horror films with the satanic panic themes and camera work. However, when things do start kicking off, it felt very sudden and disjointed. Definitely worth a watch at the very least.

Imagine a world where demonic possession was a known phenomenon that is dealt with from time to time in your town or city. Much like a manageable viral illness, there’s some steps that can be taken to prevent the spread and address it, but ultimately not taking proper precautions could make things worse. This Argentine horror movie delivers a really interesting idea and story that is worth a watch.
