  this and Heat are your undeniably classic thrilling cop/criminal 90s films. Tommy Lee Jones plays such a good part in this, I love it when your good guy has that relationship with the one who's after him, like he doesn't want anyone /else/ to be on his tail.

  and i'd be lying if I said my enjoyment of this film wasn't heightened by The Simpsons.

  another one i watched with my great grandad when i was young. it's interesting to see the people that generation saw as heroes, their idols. no doubt some kids in a playground called themselves Shane as they played Cowboys. I would. I'd be Shane, the cowboy who could out-shoot any one of you if only you pushed me too far, made me return to my dark old ways.
