the score is undoubtedly the main character. hard to give this one a rating because first and second halves are so distinct to me.

As if overt sexualization of a child, omission and denial of key story elements, poor editing, and lackluster acting were not enough, this film is actively boring.
Why anyone thought it a good idea to adapt such a complicated and difficult story to film l have no idea, and why Nabokov himself took part in that adaptation equally eludes me.
