By far the darkest interpretation of Dracula/Nosferatu and a solid take on an absolute classic with a signature “Eggers” atmosphere and cinematography.
It stays loyal to the timeless Dracula/Nosferatu storyline with little deviations if any, and manages to pull it off with visuals to almost rival Francis ford Coppola’s 1992 Dracula.
The soundtrack is impressive and as gothic and dreary as possible, fitting very well with the setting.
I do feel like it suffered from overacting at certain points but “classic” movies such as this often have a very inherent theatrical feel to them which is part of the charm.
Overall would recommend.
