God's Country 2022
Social commentary can be dull, having the same message regurgitated in your face over and over can get very old fast. Well I'm here to tell you this movie does not fall in that category. Having Thandiwe Newton, who portrays Sandra, gives an incredible performance with a supporting cast that seemed to feed off her talent already gave this movie a one up. Cinematography, location of the film, and the editing gave it such an edge of your seat suspense…

Beautifully shot nail biter. Acting was incredible, the wide shots made the film even creepier. The modern departure of close/tight shots for horror I personally believe is a great move. While it didn’t leave me as terrified as “Hereditary” it left just as much feeling of dread. There is still so much to think on.
