Good pacing and pretty cinematography. All in all a technically well put together film.
My empathy for the characters was somewhat restricted. This due to the at times almost too perfect cinematography and mise én scene (can this term be used about a doc.?) making it seem staged. Also certain scenes with the characters being placed in unnatural settings 'acting' unnaturally. The above can be summarised as a feeling of the characters being too guided either directly by the director…

A classic absurd Cage movie with a twist in that he never really activates rage-Cage. Chaotic from scene to scene in terms of mood and genre. It goes from one end of the spectrum to the other, becoming a kind of show-off in cinematic technique. Which is also kind of satisfying, because it is well executed.
Intense and serious characters in an utterly absurd, somewhat trippy but still realistic world, told through scenes of rapidly changing, comically explicit moods.
