  Awful, pretends to be a film about love in various forms but is nothing of the sort. Perhaps the least romantic film I’ve ever watched. Shockingly bad.

  This was a bit disappointing but not entirely unexpected, much of Marvel's output baring a couple of exceptions have been bland and generic.

  There was potential here however this really highlights the problem Marvel has with creating anything distinctive, they choose directors, cinematographers and composers to fit in with the rest of the Marvel output... resulting in films that mostly look and sound the same.

  Brie Larson is a talented actress but the directing is so poor and the scrips…

  War for the Planet of the Apes 2017

  Terribly disappointing end to what was once such a promising trilogy. The critic reviews said it was possibly the best ending to a trilogy ever, really? Did we see the same movie?

  It starts off well, there is a fantastic battle between human troops and the apes, sadly the early promise goes unfulfilled.

  The prison scenes are repetitive, boring and derivative. Woody Harrelson is criminally underused. The comic relief is almost Jar Jar Binks level bad.

  Possession 1981

  The limited edition Mondo set is one of my most treasured possessions.

  Best breakup film ever made.
  Best horror film ever made.
  Best performance ever in a horror film by Isabelle Adjani. Her performance gives me goosebumps, even before the infamous subway scene.
  One of the best films ever made.

  Apparently Zulawski has also made one of the best science fiction films too. On The Silver Globe... patiently waiting for Mondo to release the 4K scan on bluray.
