The comedy bits are a bit deceiving in this movie. The way Anora is never truly alone the whole movie and is only in addition to and in response to different groups of people; maybe we're never allowed the privilege to see through her guard, maybe sometimes even Anora herself is unable to do this. The ending scene might be up to different interpretations, but it really is such a needed carthasis for both side of the screen, seeing how much I have clinged to Anora as we move through all the sequences.

Synecdoche, New York 2008
found myself crying when the credits rolled as if the whole dread built up from the beginning was lifted up for both Cotard and me. Kaufman had a talent of giving shapes and forms to such unnamed feelings and then maneuvering them so well so that the structure of the whole film holds its form until the very end and things will only start making sense as the film goes and not otherwise.
