Jack & Joker: U Steal My Heart! 2024
I really liked it!! It’s kind of nice that the show wasn’t entirely focused on the main relationship, as having conflict that doesn’t just hinge on their romance definitely builds more tension and surprise. That being said, it makes me wish more time had been spent focusing on their relationship, because the plot was so action heavy that the resolution between Jack and Joke felt rushed and not all that rewarding. This is literally my favorite movie ever. There’s something so interesting about a movie that involves the mental and physical, internal and external, and interpersonal conflicts that we encounter so often, but never really discuss. It’s a horrifyingly beautiful glimpse into the life of a teenager in its worst and best aspects.
