Lots to think for this movie.
The multiple storyline idea, while pretty good, has a lot of useless elements that just make the story confusing for no reason. I think that the editing was good enough so that the movie keeps you guessing for 1h30. But then a few consecutive poorly handled reveals happen and just make you wonder wtf is going on because of contradictory statements and useless plotlines. Don't know what this was about. I felt like some of the acting was kinda off, especially in the flashbacks. There were some nice sets and costumes, naturally but that's kind of it.
These movies have such a capacity to be touching all the while being ordinary life. It's amazing. Quite an emotional rollercoaster
I was afraid of the way this movie would handle faith but it did pretty well. It's not very original and very much by the numbers but Rachel McAdams carries this movie with Abby Ryder Fortson and that's enough to make a sweet and innocent movie.
