  A truly unnerving film. Loved its use of long takes, tracking shots, minimalist background music and dark spaces to create tension and overall eerie atmosphere. 

  I’ll probably have trouble sleeping after this but it was worth the watch nonetheless.

  The Raid 2 2014

  The Sequel to arguably the best action movie of all time that definitely leaves up to the quality of its predecessor. The extra hour of runtime gave the film a little mire breathing room for quieter moments, allowing us to develop a strong emotional attachment to some of the new characters. 

  Obviously the fights are still phenomenal (even if a bit ridiculous sometimes lol)

  Meet Joe Black 1998

  A compelling movie exploring not only the brevity of life, but also the true meaning of living and loving. Having the personification of death experience human interactions was already an interesting concept, but it is easily elevated by the performances at display here. Claire Forlani looked gorgeous throughout but her scenes with Brad Pritt ranged from uncomfortable to utterly seductive and intoxicating. Every interaction between them is filled with a flurry of emotions and tension, highlighting the uncertain feelings they have for each other. 

  However, Brad Pitt’s Jamaican accent was a bit off lol.

  “Death and Taxes”

Following
