Didn't love it, didn't hate it, but I wasn't very impressed overall.
The score is undeniably a downgrade and kind of sound the same. Minus Beyond, that track is catchy and enjoyable to listen to.
The story bounces off the OG's themes constantly, in a bad way though, because it becomes comprehensively redundant and a sheer lack of creativity to add plot without having to rely on referencing Moana 1's events/jokes.

Funnily enough, I never knew of this movie's existence until I was browsing Disney+. I've yet to watch the Netflix and/or the new series (I have a long list of shows I'll get to...eventually), but my expectations were far exceeded by this.
And based on the couple reviews I've glanced at on here, WOW is it overhated.

This is event you could possibly want from a Captain America movie. Excellent suspense, plot (and plot twists), acting. Only reason for the absent star was the lack of th intro, and kinda subpar CGI (and she who shall not be named), but that's almost not important. Anthony Mackie is truly the face the MCU needs. I don't understand the hate this movie is getting, at all.
