Hackmania continues. First time seeing this Roeg fever dream that plays like Citizen Kane with a weird dose of folk horror. None of it makes a lick of sense but I found it surprisingly enjoyable thanks to a typically sturdy Hackman performance, an unusually stacked cast and a totally batshit plot (the voodoo orgy admittedly caught me off guard). Glad to have watched it.

Gene Hackman is just so good in this. He stuffs more emotion into a Wes Anderson character than any actor before or since. All the more resonant given recent events.
