Nothing of any note happens in a sequel nobody wanted to make...
None of the characters develop, the direction is all over the place and the musical numbers add nothing (although they are pretty fun).
Gaga is decent, but Joaquin Phoenix clearly doesn't want to be there and is not invested in developing Arthur or Joker from the first movie. The result is an array of 'whatever they shot that day' all mashed together.
Miles off the first movie, but a decent use of colour made me feel like it was well shot, so kudos to those fellas.
