Movies in the 70’s really had zero limitations on runtime. Over one hour of just a wedding and boys being boys. Followed by 30 minutes of incredible action then promptly back to a slow burn. Probably could have left some scenes on the cutting room floor and had an Apocalypse Now type Directors Cut.
May need a few days and a rewatch of Full Metal Jacket to rank in the Vietnam film list.
