Okay. Wow. Jesus Christ. What the fuck.
The irony of Megalopolis is in its attempt to subvert commercial restriction, it feels like a Hollywood clusterfuck with the intellectual range of a YA novel. I’m asked to contextualize it and understand it as “unbridled auteurism” but as the critics are doing so, they entirely decontextualize it, ignoring the fact that he reproduced everything awful and suffocating about blockbuster cinema.

FORGOT TO LOG, I was afraid to until I had a lot to say about it, but f that, just WOW. This was a movie that’s made for me. I love how Dev is able to lean into genre and still maintain creative clarity. An exceptionally powerful action flick that will be remembered.
